Scruffy
is a two year old australian
cattle dog x pointer that has recently come back into rescue. Scruffy was returned when his adoptive owners found it too much to handle him with a new baby on the way. The name has nothing to do with his coat - he was named by
the children in his former home. Scruffy came from a home
with small children and he simply adores everyone he meets!
Scruffy is a mix between a sporting breed and a herding breed,
and he is a dog needs regular walking and playtime. Scruffy
is very nice natured and he is great with other dogs. He would
be best in a home without cats, as his herding instincts kick
in when they run. He would be okay with an easy-going feline - especially if there is another dog to keep him occupied. Scruffy has an even temperment and seems
to be pretty easy-going about most things. Scruffy LOVES to
play with the other dogs in his foster home, and this fellow
really would enjoy a home with another dog that would play
with him. While Scruffy is great with children, we have found
he can get overwhelming for children if there isn't another
dog around that can keep him entertained. Scruffy would make
a wonderful dog's companion. He seems to make friends with
other canines very easily! This guy
is a very easy dog to have around, and Scruffy is very well
mannered. He is completely housebroken and has been fine loose
in the house. This young lad is still very much a puppy and
is very willing and eager to learn. Scruffy is an all around
great little fellow who adjusts easily. He would be an easy
addition to any family! (Indoor Home Only!)
